Earth Week
Shabonee will acknowledge Earth week from April 22 to 26 with a variety of activities. Some of these highlights include planting a native tree in honor of each grade level. Students will be chosen from dolphin dollar drawings to help with digging and planting. All students will be invited to watch the tree actually get planted. A time capsule representing each grade level will be planted next to each tree. Opportunities to develop personal eco-friendly goals and join optional pop-up activities will take place during recess. We hope to encourage and inspire our students about helping the environment through these experiences.
